NTA has started CUET PG 2026 Registration from December 14, which will continue till January 14, 2026.
As Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2026 application process has begun, candidates looking for admission to postgraduate programmes offered by leading universities like University of Delhi (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Jamia Millia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and University of Hyderabad need to ensure they meet prescribed eligibility conditions.
National Testing Agency (NTA) holds CUET PG entrance test as common exam while final eligibility and admission criteria are decided by individual universities. NTA has started CUET PG 2026 Registration from December 14, which will continue till January 14, 2026.
Who Is Eligible for CUET PG 2026
- Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university are eligible to apply.
- Students in final year of their undergraduate programme can also submit CUET PG 2026 application form.
- There is no age limit for appearing in CUET PG 2026.
- Minimum Marks and University Specific Criteria.
NTA has clarified that:-
Minimum qualifying marks, if prescribed are decided by admitting universities.
Universities such as DU, JNU, BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia may prescribe programme specific eligibility conditions.
Candidates need to refer to official admission brochures of target universities before applying.
It is important to note that only appearing in CUET PG exam does not guarantee admission.
Subject Paper and Programme Selection
- Candidates must apply for CUET PG subject paper relevant to PG programme offered by universities like Delhi University, BHU, JNU and AMU.
- Selecting a subject paper does not ensure admission.
- Final admission depends on CUET PG score, cut-offs and counselling processes.
CUET PG Reservation Policy
Reservation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS and PwD categories will be applicable as per Government of India norms, subject to verification by admitting university. Students will also have to make sure that valid category certificates are available at time of admission.

CUET PG 2026 Syllabus and Exam Pattern: What Candidates Need to Know
For admission in Universities through CUET (PG)-2026, the existing policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences etc. of the respective University shall be applicable.
As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the eligibility criteria laid down by the University they are applying to.
Mere appearance in the Entrance Test or securing pass marks at the test does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission to the Programme unless he/she fulfils the Programme wise eligibility conditions of the University they are applying to.
For appearing in the CUET PG examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the
bachelor degree/equivalent examination or appearing in 2026 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (PG) 2026
examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria of the University in which they are desirous of taking admission.

Step 1: After adding the exam centre city preferences, candidates will then have to select the University/Programme selection.

Likewise, candidates can select up to four universities and its allied programmes offered. After adding the university programme choices, save the details and move on to the next sections.
Step 3: In this section, candidates need to add the test details. Add the test paper subject code from the drop-down options mentioned in the window. After adding all the respective test paper codes of the university programme list which was selected in the previous step, save the details.
