CUET UG 2026 exam was delayed at some centres on May 30 due to a technical glitch reported by TCS. NTA has revised afternoon shift timings and assured full compensatory time for affected candidates. The exam is being held in computer based test mode.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has notified that, after a technical glitch was reported in the May 30 shift 1 at certain centres, 3765 candidates were affected. Such candidates were able to complete the biometric verification but could not appear for the exam. These candidates will be given opportunity to take rescheduled exam. The revised exam date will be announced soon. Also, after a technical glitch reportedly delayed the commencement of the CUET 2026 exam for May 30 shift 2 . According to NTA, the issue was reported by TCS, the technology partner conducting the computer-based examination and has been resolved for shift 2. NTA has notified the revised afternoon shift timings for May 30 Shift 2 candidates.
CUET UG 2026 Technical Glitch Reported at Select Centres
In a statement shared on social media, NTA said that a technical issue at the end of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) affected the start of the CUET UG 2026 examination at a few centres on May 30, 2026. The agency has notified that measures were taken immediately and the examination is now being conducted smoothly.Β NTA has assured candidates that full compensatory time will be provided to all affected students so that no candidate is placed at a disadvantage due to the delay.
Revised CUET UG 2026 Afternoon Shift Timings
NTA announced revised timings for the afternoon session:
- Reporting and Entry: From 2:30 PM onwards
- Examination Start Time: 4:00 PM
Candidates appearing for the afternoon shift were advised to follow the revised reporting schedule and cooperate with centre authorities.
