JMI NIRF Ranking 2025: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has secured remarkable ranks in the NIRF Rankings 2025. The university has received 13th rank in the ‘overall’ category and 4th rank among universities in India. The NIRF ranking 2025 were announced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, as a symbol of academic and infrastructural compatibility of the education institutions across India. 

This year, the Ministry of Education evaluated institutions across 17 categories, introducing for the first time the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) ranking. In the SGD category, JMI achieved a 3rd rank in NIRF SDG ranking 2025, highlighting the sustainability and socially meaningful education offered by the university

Sharing his delight, JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif said, “It is a matter of great pride that JMI has retained its overall position while excelling in SDG rankings. Our faculty’s hard work in research, skill-based and value-based education has helped us strengthen our standing. We aim to further improve in Engineering, Management and Dentistry in the coming years.”

Q:   Can I get admission in Jamia Millia Islamia [JMI] in BDS if my rank is between 35000 and 40000?
A: 

For last year closing rank for Discontinued (Jan 2023)- Bachelor of Dental Surgery was 35224 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota.

Unless student belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank there is probability of getting admission however cut offs keep changing year on year.

It is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Jamia Millia Islamia.

Jamia Millia Islamia is one of higher-ranked institutions in North India. It has vast course diversity and international exposure. According to NIRF 2025 Rankings, university has been placed at the 4th position in the "Universities" category.

A:
