Calcutta University accepts its own entrance exam for admission to various UG and PG courses. It is conducted once a year for students to get admitted to UG, PG, or doctoral-level programs in various streams, such as arts, science, engineering, etc. It is important for students to appear for the entrance test if they want a seat at the institution.

These include WBJEE, WB JECA, WB JEMAT, CAT, MAT, GATE, etc., for admission to BTech, MCA, MBA and M.Tech programmes. The MSc eligibility is Bachelor's degree with 55% marks. For MSc admission at Maulana Azad College MSc course, students should follow these instructions:

3: Qualify the MSc selection process basis performance in the last qualifying exam.

4: Make it to the Merit lists of the college.
