Hi Mohith,
Major Universities take admissions on merit basis for B.Com (Hons). But, gradually the scenario is changing. Delhi University has started conducting entrance exams as well starting this year. Your merit, I. e, your class 12th marks plus your rank in the entrance exam will both be considered in DU.

After class 10th, you can take admission in Commerce, Arts, and Science, as all the three fields are eligible to take an admission in law. If you decide to choose Arts, it will be beneficial for you as law course is based on theory and many of the subjects, which you learn in the arts are also taught in law. If you take commerce, you can still make a very good career in criminal law. In my opinion, arts will be a better option. Regards.
