Considering, you're from general category, you won't get old NITs with these core branches unless you have home state quota. In new NITs, you can easily get the core branches also apply to Delhi college counselling because with this rank you also have opportunities for NSIT DCE and IIIT Delhi and those are also good colleges. Dear Ajay, M.Tech cannot be in a broader field, it is a specialization. If you have interest in Aerospace, then go for M.Tech in Thermal or Design engineering. As for the choice of college, there are many reputed private universities VIT, SRM, LPU, etc. Offering it. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of GATE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of B.Tech marks. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in B.Tech or GATE or even during the course. A

Hello Vinay,
It varies from one institute to the other. You can get an average package of 3 - 6 LPA. This would increase with job experience. Mostly, the graduates of aerospace engineering do not opt for a job just with a Bachelors degree as it does not have good prospects in general. They go for higher studies either in India or abroad which has still more better career and job prospects.

As you told that you have interest in every field I think you are an all-rounder. Jokes apart, all these courses are professional courses. You can't do this and that, and my best opinion is that choose as per your interest. And choose wisely. At this rank and mark, you can't get IIT.

Both are equally good fields and some might disagree but the subject of aerospace might also include AME in it as in aerospace you learn to literally make or design a real aircraft while in AME it is just maintenance of it, the thing is both these fields are good for placement if done from a good and reputed institution, irrespective of the gender of the person, and honestly speaking whichever has a higher cutoff has a higher chance of placement as far as normal companies are concerned.
