Whether it's aeronautical engineering or any other, packages depend on demand-supply equation and of course market conditions. Fresh graduates from IIT can expect upwards of 6-7 Lacs while graduates from other colleges can expect little less.

1) HAL- pravara aviation institute , nashik , Maharashtra
2) University of Mumbai
3) Nehru college of aeronautics and applied sciences, Coimbatore
4) Wingss college of aviation and technology, Pune

It's nice to know that you have already set your eyes on doing PG in aerospace engineering. Good. For this dream to be achieved, you need to pass your graduation in this branch with good marks & understanding. Then GATE. That's all.

Yes, of course, you can. But, I wonder why such doubt in your mind? Degrees awarded by IIT's are indeed valid anywhere as these are recognised and hence you can pursue ME / M.Tech based on this.

Placements of Aeronautical engineers is always a challenge for all colleges since not many jobs are available. However, many students find themselves placed in little different field. Jain University has a good reputation in this regard.

Fee structure of engineering colleges is decided by taking into consideration many dynamic factors. Normally every state has formed a committee to decide on this. But fee of Govt colleges are invariably subsidised. Average fee could be 1 to 2 L per annum.

It's really great know your dream of becoming an astronaut. But some dreams remain dream. Even in USA, after a gap of many years few citizens were selected to be trained as astronaut. So, you have to think of some other strategy.
