Air Hostess

* Eligibility Criteria for an Air-hostess-training programme :
-One needs to pass plus two/ or a graduate degree with a diploma/degree in Hotel Management or Tourism Management.
-The aspirant must be eligible to hold an Indian Passport and should be below twenty-five years of age with a minimum height of 157.5 centimeters. The weight should be in proportion to height.
-One must be unmarried, with normal eyesight of 6/6 uncorrected vision in each eye.
-Fluency in English, Hindi and knowledge of an international language is an added advantage.

Common sense, sense of responsibility, initiative, friendly outgoing personality, politeness, physical stamina and the capacity to work for long hours on one's feet, ability to react quickly in times of emergency and a presence of mind, systematic approach, unruffled appearance, a well-modulated pleasant voice, and a proportionate figure with a graceful carriage.

Hi Binal,
I think you should pursue Hospitality, Travel & Tourism management, as the course provide an in-depth and over all knowledge about the industry which will help you later as an air hostess. As the hospitality industry is a wide field to know and understand, as an air hostess also you at least need to know about the industry. You can pursue it from UTM, which is the campus of MIT Pune in Shillong. This university is known for its management courses and one my cousin also graduated from UTM and now she is enjoying her life on seventh clod and travelling all over. As per my knowledge they provide good placements as well reason being their association with big brands as the recruiters for campus placements. Eligibility:
-Physical requirements - Height for Air Hostesses - minimum of 157.5 cm and Flight Pursers 163 cm with proportionate weight.
-Graduates is a compulstion for international airlines in the age group of 19-25 years for training. Preference is given to Degree or Diploma holders in Hotel Management/Tourism.
-Female candidates from Home science background, fulfilling other requirements, are also preferred. International Airlines recruit flight attendant in the age group of 18-35 years.
-Good language, ability and proficiency in English, Hindi, a regional language and at least one foreign language are essential requirements for inflight crew members working for National or International carriers.
-Normal eyesight without glasses or a minimum uncorrected distant vision of 6/40 is acceptable.
-To pursue a career as a Flight attendant, there are many institutes offering courses in Cabin crew training .
