Hello Rushikesh, Actually speaking aeronautical engineering is the name of the course and aerospace is the name of industry operating in this field. Presently at least in India there is hardly any scope for employment in core areas. On the other hand, AME deals with servicing and main of civilian aircraft. In India passenger as well as cargo traffic is increasing by around 15% per year. This means more aeroplanes in Indian skies which in turn means more AME requirement. Hello Abdu, Aircraft Maintenance engineering is actually not an engineering branch. Students passing out of these courses are enabled to obtain DGCA liscence. In India air traffic is increasing by as much as 10% PA. This has already resulted in many airlines purchasing aeroplanes. Hence prospects are quite good for some years ahead.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Aeronautical engineering courses are different. AME means one would be trained in the maintainance activities of aircraft and which should lead to a job with an airline. Of course, one needs to obtain a liscence from DGCA for working in India. Aeronautical Engineering on the other hand is a different cup of tea. It teaches you different aspects of a flying object. IIT-Mumbai is the best option for AE. For AME, there are plenty of colleges in each state.

Nobody can guarantee anything 100%. What is acceptable or should be available is a reasonable explanation. At present, passenger traffic, as well as cargo traffic, is increasing every year in India. As a result, almost all careers have announced plans of inducting aircraft. This will surely require a large number of AME with DGCA licence to service these aircraft.
So, I feel that there is a reasonable chance that you will get placed after successful completion of this course.
