Students must meet the AKTU eligibility requirements to get admission in the university. The eligibility may vary depending on programme/ specialisation. Common eligibility is as below:

  • AKTU UG eligibility - Class 12 with relevant subjects
  • AKTU PG eligibility - UG degree in a relevant field

For BArch admission to Faculty of Architecture AKTU students are selected based on entrance exams scores such as NATA, JEE Main, UPTAC, CUET, etc. Students are eligible for this selection process as long as they meet the requirement of having passed Class 10 and Class 12 boards with a minimum 50% aggregate score in PCM subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Maths).

To apply for MArch at Faculty of Architecture AKTU students must meet the eligibility requirement of having a UG degree of the appropriate branch relevant to the degree or BArch in a related specialisation. While admissions depends on merit or qualifying exam score which in the case of MArch is UG degree marks.

To study BArch from Faculty of Architecture AKTU students must meet the eligibility requirement of having passed Class 10 and Class 12 boards with a minimum 50% aggregate score in PCM subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) while admissions depend on entrance exam scores such as NATA, JEE Main, UPTAC, CUET, etc.

AKTU provides lateral entry admissions to its BTech course through CUET UG. Through lateral entry, candidates are admitted directy to the second year of BTech. Candidates with a valid CUET UG score can apply for the counselling process if they fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria:

  • A 3/4-year Diploma with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) aggregate from an institution recognised by the UP Board of Technical Education (BTEUP) in any stream of Engineering (except Agriculture Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture),  OR
  • A BSc degree from a recognised university as defined by UGC, with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates)

The selection to AKTU admission is based on entrance exam score. Candidates need to complete a minimum of Class 12 to apply for UG courses whereas, graduation is required for PG programmes. The eligibility criteria for AKTU BTech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates) in the 10+2 or equivalent examination.

The BTech in CSE programme at AKTU is a 4-year full-time course. Admission to the BTech CSE programme is done through national or state-level entrance exams like JEE Main, CUET, KEAM or IPU CET, followed by a counselling process.

Duration - four years.
