To get admission AKTU for BTech, students have to participate in UPTAC Counselling. It is a centralised counselling process and allocates seats on the basis of JEE Main/ CUET score. Vacant seats, if any are filled through merit basis as per the university's norms. Selected students have to report at the campus for verification of documents. Students have to pay the AKTU BTech admission fees and complete the process.

No, candidates cannot get direct admission in AKTU for BTech programme. The university offers various UG, PG, and doctoral-level courses. Most of these programmes admit students based on their academic merit or national-level entrance test scores. The university accepts several exams, such as JEE Main, CUET, NATA, IPU CET, etc. Direct admission is provided only on vacant seats at the institution or college level.

If, as a General-EWS candidate, you were assigned to a college based only on your open rank during the two rounds of UPTU (UPCET) counselling, it's possible that your EWS certificate wasn't taken into account or that ranks under EWS were more competitive. To make sure your category benefits are applied correctly, you can ask the college or the counselling authority. Verify the document submission procedure again for any inconsistencies or delays.
