It's better to clear your 2nd PUC. For pursuing Diploma course, the minimum qualification required is class 10th, but to pursue B.Sc, the minimum requirement is class 12th.

The term 2D and 3D are used to indicate dimensions. The term 2D stands for Two-Dimensional, whereas, 3D stands for Three-Dimensional. 2D represents an object in just two dimensions, while 3D represents it in three dimensions.
2 dimensional animations deals more with drawing and framing and are the base for 3D animation.
2D animators create frames to define a sequence that are then moved at varying speeds to create the illusion of motion.

If you wish to apply for UG program, you must have cleared at least class 12th or higher secondary education from any recognized board and for PG, you should have a Bachelor's degree in the related or equivalent stream.
With a backlog in Diploma, I am not sure if the college will consider your application. I would suggest you to get in touch with the institute in which you wish to apply for better understanding.
