AAT also known as Architecture Aptitude Test is an offline conducted entrance exam for admission to the B.Arch programme offered by IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee. A student who has qualified Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) can give AAT. AAT consists of one paper of three hours duration. The question paper for AAT will be available only in English language.
Candidates have to bring their own drawing and coloring aids like:
1) Pen
2) Pencil 10/12 Set
3) Sharpener
4) Eraser
5) Geometric instruments like a compass, ruler, etc.
6) Hall ticket for JEE Advanced.
The syllabus consists of these topics:
Freehand drawing: Common domestic or day-to-day life usable objects like furniture, equipment, etc. are required to be drawn without any guidance through memory.
Geometrical Drawing: Study of plan (top view), elevation (front or side views) of simple solid objects like prisms, cones, cylinders, cubes, splayed surface holders, etc.
Three-dimensional perception: Visualization through structuring objects in memory.
Imagination and aesthetic sensitivity: Creativity check through an innovative uncommon test with familiar objects. The sense of color grouping or application.
Architectural awareness: General interest and awareness of famous architectural creations both national and international, places and personalities (architects, designers, etc.) in the related domain.

JAC Chandigarh Admission 2018 Summary
JAC or Joint Admission Committee conducts admissions to BE and B.Arch courses offered by listed below institutes on the basis of JEE Main All India Ranks and pass percentage secured in Class XII or equivalent examination.

Since admissions are based on All India Ranks of JEE Main, there is no entrance exam. Interested candidates only have to apply for the counseling process conducted by JAC.
JAC Chandigarh application forms 2018 are expected to be released by the end of June 2018.
