By passing the National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009, the Assam government established the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA). It's one of India's autonomous law schools. In 2021 the institute was ranked 20 among the law universities by NIRF. The NLUJAA offers a one-year degree curriculum in LLM and a five-year integrated course in BA-LLB (Hons). A PhD in law is also offered by the university. The 60-acre, lush, verdant campus is located outside of Guwahati in the Amingaon neighbourhood. The academic and administrative buildings, as well as the dorms for boys and girls, are located on campus.

Both have a smoke-free kitchen, a large eating area, a reading hall, a yoga studio, a prayer hall, a library, and a dining area. Hostels can accommodate single or double occupancy.

The Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme is offered by two prestigious institutes, NID Assam and NID Vijayawada, each one having its special advantages. Which mainly related to the individual interest.
