B.E. / B.Tech candidates need to qualify 10+2 in Science stream with PCM as compulsory subjects. M.E. candidates must have an undergraduate level engineering degree in the relevant or allied discipline. All candidates must attend the counselling session conducted by the university / institute as applicable.

The quality of food in the hostel mess at AVC College of Engineering is generally considered satisfactory by most students. Hostel mess food is likely average and sometimes lacks necessary flavours. The food menu of the hostel mess is nice, but the quality cannot be considered as one of the best. You may read student reviews for more information on the same.

AVC Engineering College was established in Tamil Nadu and has been reputed for its academic performance, particularly in the B.Tech/ M.Tech streams. The college is particularly research and development-oriented and provides good facilities within its compounds. The percentage of job placements is about 80% in MNCs and reputed corporations like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant etc. recruit candidates directly from the college. The faculty is skilled, and many of the instructors possess a PhD and a teaching practice of at least five years.
