No, it isn't compulsory. Yes, you need to have maths as a subject of study in class 12th and you should pass in the same. But while calculating the percentage for admission purpose, English plus top three subjects (marks wise) are considered.

It is slightly difficult for you to get admission in DU colleges, but don't lose hope.
