No, IPU offers B.Com honors for all streams and mathematics is not compulsory. You need to clear their entrance exams.

As your long term objective is to do MBA both B.Com and BBA are equally good options. If you are sure about having career in Finance and Account then B.Com is a better option. If you are still not clear about your interest, you may choose BBA. BBA will expose you to all Management functions. You can decide on your MBA specialisation based on your interests and performance in BBA while studying different function courses.

Yes, it is possible to get into Banking Sector after completing your B.Com studies.
Because in most of the banking exams, the required eligibility criteria is Graduation. You can Apply for IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, SBI PO, IBPS RRB & other banking Exams.
To prepare for these exams, you need to focus on Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English sections.

Dear,
You need to apply for lateral admission for 2nd year admission if the same programme and for that you need to check the admission process in particular university for the eligibility and process too.
For lateral admission, some universities prefer only regular mode students and some do offer admission for distance mode students and for that, your academic record will be counted.
