There is not much a difference between BA and B.Sc Economics.
Some colleges offer a BA degree while other offer a B.Sc degree.
A B.A. degree is better if you are interested in getting a broad liberal arts education and in approaching the study of economics from the theoretical perspective. The B.A. gives you a comprehensive view of economics with a focus on theory instead of its applications to business and finance. The B.A. is also typically less mathematically rigorous, requiring courses in statistics rather than calculus.
B.A. economics you could go for post graduation in the same field. An MBA in Economics, M.A. Economics or Masters in Applied Economics could be your choices.

However, B.Sc focuses on the statistical/ mathematical side which is more complicated than the arts side to economics.

I will advice you to keep open the option pertaining to MBA.
MBA is a versatile option which will easily give you vast opportunities in your career in terms of salary prospects.
The candidates can apply for jobs in private as well as government sector.
As to get job in the government sector candidates will have to appear and qualify in various competitive exams.

CMLE
Civil service exams etc.

As Neda has mentioned, there are lot of courses you can look at. People in general have a wrong notion, that an MBA will get them their dream job. The scenario is slowly changing. Your first priority should be to list down your strengths or skill sets. Just to cite an example, if I say my strengths are excellent oral communication and listening skill, discipline, ability to handle pressure, good presence of mind, patience and so on, one area where I can look at making my career, is sales. You have to match your skill sets with the function which requires your skill sets. You have to be brutally honest with yourself. Once you identify the function and decide to make your career, your priority should be to gain exposure to all areas which come under the function or profile. Money will automatically follow. Always remember, that a person is paid for his skill and not his qualification
