Four types depending on the classes they teach.  Early Childhood Teachers teach nursery students, Primary are for grades 1 through 5, Trained Graduates from 6 through 8, and Post-graduate for 11 and 12.

If we go by the 2025 exam date for the Bihar BEd CET exam, the form filling will start in the last week of May. It is said that the one-year course will commence in 2026.

completed bachelor's degree in any stream (Arts, Science or Commerce) with 50-55% aggregate marks at the UG level.
Some institutions set a minimum age requirement of 19 years. So, check the specific college's criteria before applying.

Yes, you can absolutely pursue a B.Ed. degree after completing your BTech. In fact, having a BTech. degree can be advantageous when applying for a B.Ed. program.

In Kolkata, there are more than 60 B.Ed colleges. Among these, 30+ are privately owned, 10+ belong to public/government organizations, and 7 are under the ownership of public-private entities. Students can get admitted to these colleges if they have completed their Class 12 as well as UG degree. Some popular BEd colleges in Kolkata are Calcutta University, NSOU - Netaji Subhas Open University, Jadavpur University, St. Xavier's College Kolkata, University of Kalyani, Rabindra Bharati University, Adamas University, etc.

There are more than 35 B.Ed colleges in Hyderabad. Of these, 20 colleges are private while 7 are owned by the govt. There are 4 colleges that are run by semi-private institutions. The entrance exams through which students are admitted to the BEd colleges in Hyderabad include TSEdCET, MAH CET, CUET-PG, etc.Some of the best BEd colleges in Hyderabad include Osmania University, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, English and Foreign Languages University, College of Teachers Education Hyderabad, Institute of Advanced Study in Education, and SRM College of Education, etc.

The seating capacity for BEd course at Rabindranath Bharati University is  50. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Candidates are selected for B.Ed and B.Ed Special Education based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Aspirants must complete graduation or Hons. graduation or postgraduation from any UGC recognised university with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) either at UG or PG level for B.Ed programme. Once the selection is done, shortlisted aspirants are required to pay the course fee to confirm seat in the university.
