The decision would be based on your interest areas and long term career plans. If you want to pursue a career in academics / technical / research areas then M.Sc/ MS would be a better option However if you want to move into general management / operations side then MBA would be better. Since you are keen on a government job as well you should keep both the options open and try for government job by appearing for open tests simultaneously. Government jobs are available at both Graduation & post Graduation level The better qualified you are the higher grade you will get in government jobs. From stability point of view government jobs are better however from salary & growth point of view jobs in good private/ MNC companies is better. However private sector jobs are very competitive and there is constant pressure on an individual for performance. You will have to make a choice accordingly.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics) in Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU):
Candidate must be preferably honours graduate under (10+2+3) pattern in mathematics from this university or any other recognized university.
Candidate must be considered other graduate under (10+2+3) pattern if they have studied at least 300 marks in mathematics at under graduate level from this university or any other recognized university with at least 55% marks in mathematics.
Marks relaxation for reserved category candidates will be given as per the rules of Government of West Bengal.
