Yes, HPU Shimla provides reservation for students from Himachal Pradesh. Candidates who have passed out from schools in Himachal Pradesh have 60% reservation irrespective of caste category. To be eligible for admission, the candidate must have passed their Class 12 from a school recognised by the state or central board and should be geographically located in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

Yes, you can have a B.Tech in Food Technology from Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSK HPKV). The course is mainly an undergraduate four-year degree for students who would have just completed their 10+2 education with emphasis on the main subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology.
Admission Process:
Eligibility: The candidates are required to have a minimum of 50 percent marks in the 10+2 examination with the required subjects.

Yes, you easily get admission in Chikara University, Himachal Pradesh, for B.Tech because the minimum of 75 percentile and 60 % marks in 12th (Science stream)  can get admission in this college. so, you can easily graduate good branch like CSE, IT, CSE etc. at this 88 percentile. 

Benchmarks to get admission into CSE branch is 80 percentile or more for the safer side.

  1. cantdidate should from Science stream and getting 60% marks in 10th +2 exam.
  2.  They should give the JEE Mains enterance exam.
  3. or Chitkara university enterance exam.

The latest cutoff information for B.Tech at chikara is as follows 

The total agregated marks require in class 12th  is 60% from PCM.

and in JEE Mains entarence exam is 75 percentile.

The cutoff marks required for B.Tech at Chitkara University, Himachal pradesh varies every year and are subject to change as per the availability of seats and course opted. However, for reference, the cutoff In JEE main entrace exam:- 70 percentile. 

In 12th borad exam :- 60%(science stream).

if you want to grab computer science then you have to score 80 percentile or above for safer side.

XII passed with a minimum aggregate of 60% or secures 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII and should write JEE Mains to get admission in the BTech course. and 75 percentile is minimum marks in JEE mains. and you can also get admission through Chitkara University enterance exam.

85 percentile or above is safer side to get admission into chitkara universiy, Himachal pradesh.
