As per Shiksha, total tuition fee for BTech is around INR 4.05 Lacs - INR 14 lakh. The fee can differ for every specialisation. Fee structure can include one-time and annually paid components. Some of them are tuition fee, registration & examination charges, etc.

Eligibility is Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate (45% for reserved category and Maharashtra students). Candidate should have studied Physics and Mathematics are compulsory and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as optional subjects. Those with Diploma in Engineering and Technology or BSc are also eligible. Minimum aggregate requirements remain same.

Yes, Presidency College offers good placements annually to its BTech students. According to the NIRF report 2026, 134 MBA students were placed out of total 139 graduated students during Presidency College placements 2025 with a median package of INR 5.5 LPA.

There are no rules or refund policies mentioned by Calcutta University for cancelling BTech admission at this institute.

Thus, candidates need to get in touch with admission desk to confirm if refunds are granted. Generally, institutes refund a percentage of fees paid upon a candidates cancelling their admission based on UGC norms.

Calcutta University BTech course fees has not been revealed for academic year 2026. Last year, BTech fees at Calcutta University stood at INR 38,075 for four years across every specialisation.

Thus, candidates can assume this year's fees to be around the same amount.

Applicants have to appear for JEE Main exam to get admissions in BTech. A counselling process is conducted for selections, after the entrance results are out. Students can register for counselling on official DTE, MP website. The authority releases merit list. Selected students can get documents verified and pay some fee for seat confirmation.
