Hi, please check out the following common eligibility criteria for admission to BTech courses in Pune colleges:
Must have a min. of 60% aggregate in Class 12 from a recognised board with PCM. 
Admission is determined by merit, written exam, GDPI and varies by college.

While applying for the UPESEAT exam candidates only need a minimum of 50% marks in class 10th and 12th and for PCM subjects of class 12th. However applying for the BTech mathematics and computing programme requires a minimum of 70% marks in class 10th and 12th and 70% marks individually in class 12th PCM subjects. 

The BTech Petroleum Engineering syllabus surely includes project work and field visits to refineries, oilfields and other project sites to provide you with the necessary practical exposure and training to handle complex situations in the real world. The theory bit covers the important fundamentals and field visits and project work in the final year are important for hands-on learning and better earning potential.
