The total tuition fee of BTech at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University is INR 3 lakh- INR 4.6 lakh. This number is taken from the official website of university. It can change. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm admission.

BTech CSE is worth joining at NIT Andhra Pradesh because of the excellent placements, well-structured course curriculum, research opportunities, and vibrant campus life. 

The highest package for BTech CSE stood at INR 44.1 LPA in 2024 with a placement rate of 78.08%. Further, the course curriculum is designed to build strong theoretical and practical foundations. The electives include Data Analytics, Python, Java, etc.

If you're already GATE qualified and working at HCL, I'd compare Thapar with the other colleges you're getting through GATE before deciding.

Thapar has a good reputation, decent faculty and industry exposure. One of my colleague's friends did his PG there while coming from an industry background and felt it helped him move into better technical roles. If your goal is skill development and better opportunities, it's definitely worth considering, but I'd still check all the options available with your rank first.
