With a JEE Mains rank of approximately twelve lakh, it is unfortunately not possible to secure a B.Tech in Computer Science seat at any IIIT or GFTI through the main JoSAA rounds. These institutes typically close admissions for CSE below around fifty thousand rank for open category, with even less popular GFTIs and IIITs not stretching anywhere close to twelve Lacs rank.
You may wish to explore private engineering colleges where cut-offs are more flexible or consider state-level counseling where some self-financed or university colleges accept higher ranks. For IIITs and GFTIs, this rank is simply not competitive for CSE seats in

The valor is CRL that averages at 165236 in JEE Mains, which in turn means that entry into the most coveted NITs or IIITs will be very difficult with popular subjects such as Computer Science. But nevertheless, you do stand good chances in other younger or lowerly ranked NITs to get less competitive areas of the branch like Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical or Bio-technology. Take NITs of North East (e.g. Agartala, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh) as an example, or other new NITs such as Hamirpur, Patna, or Srinagar. 91.79 is a good score.Your chances for getting an admission depends upon the category and the state you belong.NITs have 50% reservation for home state students. You have a good chance in getting admission to electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Maybe you can get admission to Computer Science engineering in newer of less popular NITs.you can explore NITs like NIT arunachal pradesh, NIT Puducherry etc.

SRM typically requires minimum 50% PCM (45% for reserved categories) in Class 12, alongside a valid SRMJEEE rank (or JEE Main in some categories). For CS/AI/ML, the rank matters far more. Make maths compulsory (unless you're going for certain tech lite programmes). Always re-check the current year SRMJEEE brochure—they sometimes tweak cut offs and eligibility language.

Admission to VJTI Mumbai for B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering primarily depends on your MHT CET score or JEE Main rank, not just your 12th marks. VJTI uses MHT CET as the main entrance for Maharashtra state candidates, and the expected closing rank for Mechanical Engineering in 2025 is around 2105 (MHT CET rank), which corresponds to a very high percentile, typically above 98.3 to 99.8 percentile range. So strong performance in MHT CET or JEE Main is essential.
