There are about 200 best Engineering colleges in Rajasthan. Of these, 160 colleges are privately owned, 28 colleges are owned by public/government organisations, and public-private entities own 4 colleges.

Placements for B.Tech in information technology at BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology are decent. According to shiksha, median package offered to students of this course was INR 4.75 LPA and total 81.14% of the total batch got placed. The tution fees for this course is around INR 5.17 lacs. So getting INR 4.75 LPA as a median package with this fees, is not bad. Placements are far better than many other institutes of the area. If you have worked upon your skills, you can definitely get a good package here. So overall, placements of this course are good and you can expect a decent return on your fees invested.

The institute has not released the placement percentage. However, the number of students placed has been released. As per the official site, 109 students were placed during the 2025 drive. In India BTech is the most sought course among students and one of the most expensive undergraduate courses whose fees range from INR 20,000 to 20 lakh. The BTech course is mostly expensive in most of the Private Colleges/universities in India. Among the universities DY Patil University, Pune offers BTech courses in fee range from INR 5.4 Lacs to INR 8 lakh, which in comparison to Don Bosco Institute of Technology is much higher and is lower in comparison to Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering.
