BHMS course graduates cannot directly switch to allopathic medicine or practice allopathic treatments without completing additional qualifications. While they are trained in homeopathy and can legally practice homeopathic medicine, their training does not include the study of conventional medicine.

Yes, BHMS doctors are known by government of India. After finishing BHMS, students must register with State Homeopathic Medical Council or CCH to do homeopathy legally.
