B.Tech is the best option in my opinion, if you can get a good college. Otherwise B.Sc. is also fine. You can later sit for SAT exam and get a good score. The score will allow you to choose a good college and you can also apply for scholarship in the college you wish to take admission.

Yes, probably, you will be. One of my friend with 18K rank CET'13 is pursuing CSE @ NIEC 2nd Shift and he was even offered IT @ BPIT 2nd Shift. I'll advice you to push your luck to the open house counselling.

Basically, the course is Life Sciences in Presidency University. It is better to study Life Sciences in Bachelors because you will have broader aspect of life science to study. You can go to IIT and NITs for Biotechnology after B.Sc. Lots of students from the Presidency University life sciences department crack those entrance exams.
