To get admitted to B.Sc. in Biotechnology course at Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, applicants must meet the entry requirements - 60.0% in 12th.
The admission shall be on the basis of PCM (in Aggregate) in 10+2 level or equivalent with minimum of 60% marks. For admissions to Masters Programs a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination is required.

The first year cost of the MSc Biotechnology course for students enrolled at Amity University, Mumbai is nearly INR 1,44,000. This consists of the tuition fees of '1,20,000/-, examination fees of '8,000/-, and other charges of '16,000/- yearly. Yes, you can join biotechnology if you are a BiPC student and got 40k rank in TS EAMCET. As per the eligibility criteria, BiPC students are qualified for B.Tech in biotechnology by law and AICTE has permitted BiPC students for B.Tech in biotechnology4. However, some colleges may require mathematics as a compulsory subject in 10+2.

To be eligible for the B.Tech in Biotechnology programme at NIT Rourkela, you must have a minimum of 75% aggregate in your Class 12 exams:
Candidates from reserved categories must have a minimum of 65% aggregate
Candidates must also be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12
The selection criteria for the B.Tech programme at NIT Rourkela is JEE Main and JoSAA Counselling.

Mount Carmel College, which has a pretty good history of placements, caters to B.Sc. students from all divisions, including Biotechnology and Chemistry. Students completed from these disciplines would have found placement in companies like Biocon, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and the like, as well as in several research and development organizations. The college has also provided training, workshops, and internships to boost employability. While the college has good placement opportunities, the salary package and success rate may differ from student to student depending on their performance and preparational efforts.
