Yes, of course.
The major advantage of doing B.Sc in this subject is that the course duration is short as compared to B.Tech or BE.
This is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for biotechnology graduates in the private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities, but not in the scale in which private sector does.
Some prominent industries where biotechnology professionals may find jobs are Pharmaceuticals Industry, Healthcare sector, Chemical Industry and Research sector.

There is no direct admission to Std. XI in Fergusson College. In Pune, all admissions to Std. It is a little bit tough to get you such college/university having only biotechnology courses. There are many colleges in India as well as abroad offering courses in biotechnology.

B.Sc (Hons.) Biotechnology is a 3-year full-time undergraduate course that brings together Biology and Technology, introducing to candidates its various application in varied sectors.
