First, you should decide whether you want to go in private or government. If government, then it will not be so expensive. That will cost around 1 lakh (lodging + fooding). If private, it depends on college, but I will give you an idea that, it will less than equal to 2.5 lakhs per year including with your lodging + fooding. Go ahead because Biotechnology is our future. In coming days, you can do a lot with it.

Career options after MBA biotechnology:
You can be employed in pharmaceutical companies, chemical, agriculture and allied industries. Research laboratories whether run by government or corporate sector are the preferred place for many bio-technologists.
Research Scientist,
Teacher,
Marketing manager,
Science Writer,
Bioinformists,
Quality Control Officer or
Production in-charge in the Food,
Chemical and Pharmaceutical industry.Analyst (Venture-Capitalist)
Environmental / Safety Specialist.

No universities offer distance course in the subjects you asked for. If there is any, then it is not reliable, because M.Sc in the above subject has lot of practical work.

You can go for M.Sc in biotechnology and later can also go for your M.Tech too in biotechnology or the best option would be is going for Ph.D.
