You learn about making medicines, hybrid crops, etc. in biotechnology but you learn only about food in food technology.

Admission procedure is goes like this:
Do check whether you are eligible or not.
If yes, then you have to fill up the online application form, print the needful and pay the fees.
Wait for the list to be declared. If you find your name on the list, then rest instructions will be there.
But, unfortunately you can do all the above mentioned in the next year, because the application is over and the list is out too.

M.Sc in chemistry is the only course offered by some universities by distance. Rest are not offered by distance.

No government jobs are available after B.Sc biotech for sure, even after M.sc also no grantees as you will be provided with one fellowship programme under the Dept. of Biotech, India. They will be providing you different training programmes in private companies, if got selected through those companies, that would be fine. If not, again you have to carry your resume to all companies. But one should apply for the Dept. of biotech, India in the beginning of the 3rd starting itself. No guarantee that you would be able to get the opportunity in that fellowship.

Yes, there are but you have to be well practiced in your field for a better future.
