MBA - Biotech is one of the newest disciplines in management. It includes management and Biotechnology. It is one of the growing sectors in current economy.
Managerial manpower, with Biotech specialization, will be needed to play an entrepreneurial role. Biotechnology focused managers will also monitor the socio-economic and ethical issues so that the technology is harnessed and applied for the holistic betterment of mankind.

The eligibility required for R&D exams is graduation in nutrition and dietitian, post-graduation Diploma in nutrition and dietitian or Master's degree in nutrition and dietitian.
Six months internship (Or 3+3 months) from recognized hospitals or two year experience in a multi-specialty hospital as full time dietician is also required.
Yes, you have one more career option available. You can pursue Masters in food science and then prepare for CSIR NET exam.

If you are planning to take biotechnology as a career option, then you have to be very clear that you have to continue your studies till Ph.D or at least Master's degree because Bachelor's degree holders or Diploma holders will not have any scope as it is more inclined towards research.

No, you can't opt for merchant navy as mostly males are preferred for this course. The acceptable qualification is Bachelor's in nautical science and mechanical engineering.

Biotechnology has many wider scope. Once you are done with B.Sc, then you can go for food technology, molecular biology and biotechnology, microbiology, dairy technology, genetics, biochemistry, engineering and bioinformatics.
After completing M.Sc, you can opt for doctoral studies, and then you can try for a job.
