Hi Mumtaz,
You need mathematics, if you want to go for B.Tech in biotechnology. You will have mathematics for three semesters, after that in the main core biotechnology, you need to have knowledge of mathematics because you will be dealing with biostatistics and bio-modelling.

I think, you should go for biotechnology. Biotechnology has lot of scope in future. You can go for research, genetic engineering, immunology, microbiology, bioinformatics, plant tissue culture, animal tissue culture, microbial biotechnology and much more.

You should consider M.Sc in biotechnology only as it is a booming field and Canada is one of the top countries for making a career in the biotechnology field. Also, it will be relevant to your educational background. If you have other interests you can choose accordingly.
