After completing class 12th, you can either pursue BE/ B.Tech, B.Sc in biology or biotechnology or genetics/ microbiology and related fields. Ideally, you must be a students with PCMB background. A B.Sc is more common as not too many institutes offer UG level genetic engineering programs.
Entrance requirements vary from university to university. You can consider:
1. SRM University.
2. Institute of Genetic Engineering – Kolkata.
3. Aryabhatta Knowledge University, etc.

The exploitation of biological processes for industrial and other purposes, especially the genetic manipulation of microorganisms for the production of antibiotics, hormones, etc.

With B.Sc biotechnology, you can't get any decent job. You can go for M.Sc in particular field, then you will be able to get a decent job and salary.

You can pursue PGDM course. MBA/ PGDM from a top college is a very good option. It will help you to earn good.

To pursue Master's degree in any field, you must have a Bachelor's degree in the same. Since, you've completed your B.Sc, you can opt for M.Sc.
