The university offers ample opportunities for students to get practical exposure. Along with the core subjects, there are Value added courses, Dissertation, Internships/Projects and Vocational courses as well. There is a dedicated placement cell which assists students for Internships for real industry exposure.

The syllabus is divided in four-years and eight semesters. All specialisations have different core subjects which are taught during the course. However, there are some common subjects first year of all courses. The common subjects include Environment Science, Computer Programming, Health and Yoga, Mathematics, etc. Each semester has some Elective and Minor subjects along with core ones. It is mandatory for all students to complete an Internship or Research project in last year.

The course is offered in four-year full-time mode. It is further divided in eight semesters. Some common subjects taught in first year are General English, Introduction to AI ML, Physics, Mathematics I &II and many more. The curriculum also includes different elective and minor subjects. Students have to complete an Internship or Research project in last year of course.

The seats are divided in three categories. 60% of total seats are allotted under All India Quota. 25% are reserved for State Quota students and 15% for NRI students. State Quota seats are allotted by ACPC, GoG. The university allocates seat for All India Quota and NRI Quota. Separate registrations for both categories has to be done on respective official websites.

Yes, the university has an Institute Interaction Cell (III Cell). It is dedicated to provide placement support to students. Along with placement support, it also trains students and guides them for opportunities. The III Cell is responsible for organising placement drives every year. It has tie ups with 300+ companies. The highest package of INR 52.25 LPA was recorded CSE in 2024. Average package offered is INR 8.30 LPA.

The university offers a four-year full-time BTech program. The course is offered across seven specialisations. In terms of academics, it has experienced faculty members in all departments. The institute has a dedicated placement cell for students. Many reputed companies visit the college for campus hiring. The average package offered to students is 7-10 LPA. the highest packages have been around 52.25 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Cognizant, Intel and many more.

MIT School of Food Technology hostel fees for first year BTech students is INR 8.58 Lacs in 2026. However, candidates from lateral entry admissions will be charged a hostel fees of INR 6.43 lakh. Candidates are charged this hostel fees on yearly basis at INR 2.14 lakh.

BTech fees for first year admissions at MIT School of Food Technology is INR 8.04 Lacs for the academic year 2026. For BTech lateral entry, BTech fees might be INR 6.08 lakh. This fees will be charged on yearly basis at the beginning of each year.

ITNU accepts JEE or GUJCET scores for admissions in BTech. Candidates need to give either of exams and secure an All India Rank. After exam results are announced, counselling process is being conducted for allocation of seats. The seat allocation is purely based on merit rank secured by candidate in respective exam. Counselling is conducted in multiple rounds. Cutoff is generally higher in first few rounds of counselling.

The application fee for JEE Main exam is INR 1000 (male) and 800 (female) for general candidates. For SC/ST application fee is INR 500 for both. For application form of GUJCET, fee of INR 350 is applicable for all. For registration on ACPC website, candidate need to pay INR 350 as an application fee. To get admission through All India Quota, separate application form has to be paid on University official website. The application for the same is INR 350 for Gujrat students. For students outside Gujrat it is INR 1200. All the above mentioned fees are accepted via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI only.
