Eligibility criteria for admission to B.E./B.Tech in Tamilnadu College of Engineering are: 10+2 with 50% aggregate (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and having Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational as compulsory subjects. Candidates have to appear for counselling in TNEA, which is the short form for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. Cut-off marks for admission are: General category-145-197; BC category - 133-190; MBC category - 120-175; SC/ST category - 90-155. Lateral entry scope: 50% aggregate in Diploma in any branch for general categories and 45% for other categories. Reservation: 69% for Tamil Nadu students and 31% for other states. Seats 1200 (B.E./B.Tech). Duration: 4 years (8 semesters). Intake through TNEA counselling 90%, Management quota 10%.

Admission B.E. / B.Tech Admission in D.K.T.E. Society's Textile and Engineering Institute through MHT CET for 80% of seats and JEE Main for 20% of seats. For any particular course, the candidate must have scored at least 50% aggregate at 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The applicant needs to get registered with MHT CET/JEE Main; then fill up the institute application form with Rs 500; and verification documents; and then prepare the merit list, counselling, and seat allotment. All the key dates are May/June for MHT CET, January to April for JEE Main, institute application within June/July, and counselling between July/August. 

For admission into B.E./B.Tech at Pondicherry Engineering College (PEC), make an application as follows:
Apply through JEE Main scores (50% weightage) Register on the PEC website. Fill the application form (INR 500-1,000 fee). 10+2 with 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST), Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics mandatory. Normalize +2 marks (30% weightage) and PCM marks (20% weightage). Counselling: Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC). Seat matrix: 480 seats (360 JEE Main qualifiers, 120 lateral entry). Document verification: June-July. Admission confirmation: July-August. Required documents: JEE Main admit card, +2 marks sheet, transfer certificate, category certificates.
