JNTU Anantapur Highlights 2025

JNTU Anantapur started in Madras in 1946 and was transferred to Anantapur in 1948. The college had the first affiliation with Madras University in 1946-1955 and Sri Venkateswara University in 1955-1972. In 2008, JNTU established three independent universities under AP Legislature Act namely JNTU Hyderabad, JNTU Kakinada and JNTU Anantapur.

JNTU incorporated under its name JNTUA College of Engineering, Pulivendla and Oil Technology Research Institute, Anantapur and JNTUA College of Engineering, Kalikiri. In addition to these, there are 33 pharmacy colleges, 98 engineering colleges, 29 MBA/ MCA colleges of JNTUA now.

Overall, my experience at the college is good.

Placements: 67.6 percent of students are placed 531 out of 882. 44 LPA is the package offered in the 2024 batch. Some major companies that visited GCET are Amazon, TCS, and Infosys. The exact official internship percentage is not published. Reviews indicate a good number of students get internships, mainly in TCS, Wipro Startups, through college drives.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available across campus, but it can be slow. Modern classrooms with projectors/digital boards. Well equipped labs for programming and department related practicals. Central library with a good collection of books, journals, and study materials. Clean and well maintained campus with good seating and study space.

Faculty: The curriculum is relevant, updated, and helps students become industry ready. Semester exams are moderate, and the pass percentage is usually 75 to 85 percent.

Other: I choose B.Tech (CSE), and my experience is good. I chose this course because of my Interest in tech + good career scope. The best thing about this is the Good faculty, labs, and placements. Needs Improvement in Wi-Fi and practical exposure. Good fests, friendly crowd, good connectivity, clean campus. Balanced college experience with good Learning and Placements. A Student friendly campus with reliable academics and growth. Decent infrastructure, helpful faculty, and good placement Support.

Infrastructure: Our department has high-speed Wi-Fi, well-equipped computer labs, smart classrooms, a spacious library with digital resources, project rooms, and seminar halls that support practical learning and research activities. Mess food is decent and hygienic, with canteen options available.

Faculty: The faculty is helpful, qualified, and explains concepts clearly. The curriculum is updated and includes practical skills that prepare students for industry needs. Semester exams are moderate; with regular study, most students pass, and the pass rate is high.

The college is good with a beautiful atmosphere for learning.

Placements: It may be 65 percent, as the students who are studying here is fewer in our course. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. TCS and Cisco are some of the recruiters of our college. Not more than 20 people were enrolled in the internship.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi will be available across campus. Classrooms will have a good atmosphere with a good seating arrangement. The library consists of books and articles. Food is moderate, and medical services will be available around the day for emergency purposes, and the college will provide quarters for them.

Faculty: Professors enrolled in a project for designing websites for domestic purposes. They have good knowledge of the subject. We also have practical work to do, either for studying for college exams or to help in a hackathon. Quite hard as compared to others.

Absolutely satisfied with the curriculum I chose, good placements and organised infrastructure.

Placements: The number of students placed is more than 400. As I am studying in an artificial intelligence and machine learning course, I would say that placements will start from 3-2 semesters. The highest package is 32 LPA, and Anurag is a tier 3 college, so opportunities will be from Infosys, etc. So many students get internships from the domains they choose, and the top roles are SDE roles.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good and well organised. The quality of food, faculty, and labs is rated 5/5.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable as they have 5+ years of experience in the subject they teach, and the quality is 5/5. The curriculum and almanack are well organised, and based on that, lectures will happen. Coming to the semester exams, we have to learn the concept instead of memorising it, then only can we write any paper in the semester exam. The faculty members are well educated, some of them have done their PG in Anurag University and started teaching the subjects very clearly and solve doubts whenever we ask questions.

Other: I chose the artificial intelligence and machine learning course because it will be the most powerful course in future. I wish that I could improve in machine learning so that I can train the model very well, and I can also gain knowledge in the domain. The big event in our college, named Synergy, will happen in February. Club events will be like 4-5 per month. Festival events will be there.

Q: When will the APICET registration begin?

APICET 2026 registration process will commence online at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in tentatively in first week of March 2025. Candidates can fill the AP ICET application form online (with late fee) on or before the last date. The last date for Andhra Pradesh ICET 2026 registrations will be notified. Registrations with late fee INR 1000, 2000, 4000, 10000 will commence after the registration without late fee ended. Candidates not registering on or before the prescribed date will not be given further chances to apply for the AP ICET exam. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the Andhra Pradesh ICET application form 2026 important dates to know the last date of registrations with and without late fees. Only candidates who will register for the AP ICET exam will be able to download the admit card when released.

To apply for MTech admission at JNTUA, candidates need to visit the official website of respective conducting bodies of national-level entrance exams GATE score followed by CCMT counselling or Andhra Pradesh PGECET.
