- The AP EAPCET 2026 registration last date has been extended to Mar 24, 2026, (without a late fee) for admission to the BTech and BPharma courses. The BTech exams are scheduled for May 12 to May 15, and on May 18, 2026, followed by the BPharma exam on May 19 and May 20, 2026.
- The GATE 2026 result has been announced for admission to ME/MTech/PhD courses . The GATE 2026 counselling is expected to start soon.
JNTU Anantapur Highlights 2025
JNTU Anantapur started in Madras in 1946 and was transferred to Anantapur in 1948. The college had the first affiliation with Madras University in 1946-1955 and Sri Venkateswara University in 1955-1972. In 2008, JNTU established three independent universities under AP Legislature Act namely JNTU Hyderabad, JNTU Kakinada and JNTU Anantapur.
JNTU incorporated under its name JNTUA College of Engineering, Pulivendla and Oil Technology Research Institute, Anantapur and JNTUA College of Engineering, Kalikiri. In addition to these, there are 33 pharmacy colleges, 98 engineering colleges, 29 MBA/ MCA colleges of JNTUA now.

IMPLEMENTATION:-
1. UG students:
1.1. Jaganna Vidya Deevana, Jaganna Vasati Deevana are the programmes of state government of Andhra Pradesh through which the students are given fee reimbursement and also hostel charges respectively. These two schemes are being implemented in JNTUA as per directions of the Higher Education Department of Andhra Pradesh as well as APSCHE. The relevant G.Os are appended.
1.2 The Government of India is providing financial assistance for meritorious students under various schemes.. Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (PM-USP CSSS) is provided through Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) Yojana. Under these schemes the main objective is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from poor families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. Various sho;arships being provided in the University include the following:
- Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students.
- Post Matric Scholarships Schemes for Minorities CS.
- Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS.
- AICTE Pragathi Scholarship.
- Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students.

2. PG Students:
2.1. Jaganna Vidya Deevana and Jaganna Vasati Deevana mentioned in clause I are also being provided for PG students. The relevant G.Os are appended.
2.2. AICTE in order to ensure development of technical education in India awards Post Graduate Scholarship of Rs. 12,400/- per month through its Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme to full time GATE/GPAT qualified students admitted to AICTE approved programs Master of Engineering, Master of Technology. Master of Architecture and Master of Pharmacy courses in AICTE approved Institutions and AICTE approved University Departments.
2.3. Post Graduate Scholarship is given only to those students who are admitted in the course with a valid GATE/GPAT score at the time of admission. Any student who qualifies the GATE/GPAT exam after the date of admission shall not be eligible for grant of scholarship for the reasons whatsoever it may be. GATE/GPAT Stipends are provided to the M.Tech/M.Pharmacy students by central Government of India through AICTE.
3. Ph.D. Students:
JNTUA is implementing the stipend permissible for regular Ph.D. Scholars as per the guidelines of ADF Scheme of AICTE. The objectives for providing scholarship are as follows:
- To promote research cuture in AICTE approved Institutions.
- To promote collaborative research between institute and Industries leading to start-ups
- To nurture talents for technical research

Hence, you can certainly apply for the BTech course even if you have scored less than 75% in your Class 12 boards.
