In order to get admission to BTech at Ramaiah University, students need to fulfil minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with 45% with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory courses along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Electronics or Computer science. Students who belong to reserved category are required to get 40% aggregate in the same. The eligibility criteria for BTech (Lateral Entry) is also the same.

Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from recognized board including International Baccalaureate Diploma with English as compulsory subject with science or vocational science, minimum 50% marks in PCM for Mumbai / Navi Mumbai / Indore / Hyderabad campus & 45% marks in PCM for Shirpur campus.
