The 2023 or 2024 placement data is unavailable for Engineering courses. Earlier, out of 363 BTech students 85 were placed successfully during 2022 placements. Further, the median package stood at INR 3.75 LPA. Over the past three years (2020 to 2022), the number of BTech students placed has been fluctuating. On the other hand, the median package has improved from 2020 to 2022. The SHUATS BTech placement trends are illustrated below:

2- JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination Main)
3- CEE AMPAI (Common Entrance Examination AMPAI)

Punjab University's BTech admission is entrance based. Exams like JEE Main is accepted for admission to the BTech course. Therefore, Candidates need to a watch out for JEE Main related dates. As per JEE Main website, the schedule, NTA JEE Main 2026 exam date session 1 is January 21 to January 30 while the session 2 exam will be held from April 2 to 9. The eligibility criteria for BTech at JIS College of Engineering are as follows:
1- Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
2- Candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 in PCM.

In addition to Joint Entrance Examination, students can also qualify for admission with a valid score in WB-JEE or CEE AMPAI exams. Going as per the past three year trends candidates can expect the closing ranks for University of Hyderabad JEE Main cutoff 2024 Round 1 Seat Allotment for Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Computer Science must range between 3433 and 4766. University of Hyderabad offers admission to BTech courses through JEE Main followed by JoSAA and CSAB Counselling. Candidates who qualify JEE Main 2024 are called for the JoSAA Counselling 2024.
