BTech is one of the top courses of CSJMU. Candidates have an option to pursue BTech in any one of the six specialisations, namely Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (AI), Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The university conducts placement drive every year. The placement drive 2023 concluded with more than 1,257 job offers made during CSJMU on-campus and off-campus drives 2023. The median package offered to BTech students in 2022 was INR 3.73 LPA.

CSJM University offers a four-year BTech degree programme spread across eight semesters. Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board/ organisation with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to apply for CSJMU BTech programme. The fulfilment of eligibility criteria is necessary for application form acceptance. However, the seat allotment is based on the selection criteria. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission.

CSJMU BTech admissions are mainly entrance + counselling-based. The selection for BTech course is based on JEE Main or merit in the last qualifying exam. Vacant seats however, are filled on direct basis.

The course fee for BTech and BE course is INR 50,000 (Government Quota) and INR 85,000 (Management Quota). Candidates are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats.

According to the recent data available on the official website, the placement rate recorded for the CSE and ISE placements 2024 was 67.86% and 71.32%, respectively. Further, a total of 44 companies visited and 104 students were placed during Electrical and Electronics department placements 2024. Earlier, 86 companies visited the campus and 252 offers were made during ECE placements 2023.
Further, according to NIRF report 2024, the number of students placed during Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering BTech placements over the past three years are presented below:

BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran offers BTech in six specialisations through Chandigarh Engineering College in affiliation with I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. CGC College for Engineering offers BTech in three specialisations.
