RV College of Engineering Admission Overview 2026
R.V. College of Engineering admission is conducted on entrance basis on state or institute level. This institute offers four major courses which are BE, MTech, MCA and PhD. Out of all these, BE is the flagship RVCE course which is offered in 13 specialisations. Check out admission criteria for all courses at R.V. College of Engineering from below:
- BE admission: For getting in RVCE BE course, candidates need to appear in either KCET or COMEDK. After this, candidates can either register for counselling rounds or send a request mail for management quota admission:
- BE cutoff: In 2026, RVCE KCET cutoff ranged between 144 and 6656 for General AI category for BE admission. RVCE COMEDK cutoffs ranged between 418 and 10499. BTech in CSE emerged as most difficult specialisation for RVCE admission in both exams. Easiest specialisation to get admission into were IEM in KCET and Biotechnology in COMEDK.
- MTech admission: For admission into MTech courses, candidates must appear in one of Karnataka PGCET or GATE. Further, candidates need to participate in counselling rounds to get admission into R.V. College of Engineering MTech course.
- MCA admission: Candidate applying to RVCE MCA course must appear for either Karnataka PGCET or KMAT. Counselling rounds will be conducted afterwards for final selection.
- University level entrance exam: VTU Entrance Exam for PhD courses.

RV College of Engineering Admission and Application Process 2026
R.V. College of Engineering admissions are entrance based for all four courses. Admissions are conducted on state or institute level through exams such as KCET, COMEDK, Karnataka PGCET, etc. Counselling rounds are conducted after results of entrance exam are released. Below mentioned steps show the entire RVCE admission process:
STEP 1: Entrance Exam and Counselling Registration
To begin applying for a RVCE course, candidates first need to check out accepted entrance exams for its admission and register for them. All of them have their own portal from which registration for exam and following counselling rounds is conducted. Candidates will also receive their exam results on this portal.
STEP 2: R.V. College of Engineering Application Process
There are two major modes of admission to get into R.V. College of Engineering. First is the state level route in which candidates need to submit their allotment letter along with other documents for verification. Second is institute level management quota route where candidates can apply with their entrance exam scores and get a seat under management quota directly at RVCE.
To apply for RVCE Bangalore Management Quota admissions, candidates need to send a request, along with the scanned copies of the required documents, student's mobile number & parent's mobile number, to the e-mail ID designated for their selected course. Finally, candidates need to pay admission fees for confirmation of admission. This fees is a small portion of R.V.
