Yes, international students are allowed to do part-time work while studying in Canada. However, there is a cap on the number of hours a student can work per week. International students can work up to 20 hours per week, meanwhile, it is recommended to work only 15 hours a week to not affect your studies. You can work as a waiter or cashier in a restaurant or mart. You can even give private tuition in part-time work. The study visa for Canada allows international students to work while studying. Capilano University offers several accommodation options to international students. The campus residences offer a fully-furnished room, high-speed internet, shared TV lounges, study rooms, free laundry, events, programming and support. 
The accommodation prices for the Spring 2025 term are USD 4.7K for a shared double room and USD 5.5K for a single room. For the summer full term are USD 3.4K for a double room and USD 4.2K for a single room.
