It's good to know that you want a career as a journalist. First of all, if you want to become your journalist, you need to do BMC or BJMC. Some of the colleges are ISOMES Delhi, HIMCOM Delhi, etc.

Relating to the previous question of Civil Services as well as this one about the importance of maths for you and benefits as well. The best thing about you is that you are asking very valid questions and you also really look confident of taking Maths. So go ahead. Taking maths will make you good for Engineering if you taking PCM, commerce then accounts. If Arts, your mathematical reasoning skills will be very good. Jobs shall come according to the Competitive Exams you appear and qualify after Graduation. Or on the basis of M.Sc. Maths.

On the basis of JEE Mains scores, you can take admission to NITs and other colleges, or you can opt for JEE Advanced for admission to IITs, IISc. and ISM Dhanbad.

Give some of the good entrance exams like JEE, MMM, etc. But for this you should prepare yourself for the exams. If you are in 11th, have a look on the syllabus and go through it. You could make a strategy for this. You can join coaching too.
