Just worry about what you have to do. Just thing about what you want to do and that's important. Knowing about your interests is very important. Just take a break from everything and sit and relax and just think about all hobbies and the things that make you feel happy. So getting back to your question, so since you really don't have any idea about the career options it's important for you to go to some career counselor so he or she can suggest you some career options. I don't say that year gap wouldn't affect your placements but they never stop you from going beyond. Very few companies wouldn't accept year gaps abiding to their policy but most of them don't hinder your job. So, I would say you to join a well known institute like Ramaiah where you'll be having a chance to get into some or the other company.
