Web designers are primarily responsible for the visual look and feel of the website and web applications, while the web developers are involved in coding and technical functionality. Web designers look after the color themes, layouts, and typography, as opposed to web developers who build the website structure via coding and ensure effective working. So, basically, you can look at web designers as artists and web developers as engineers.
