If you take FPGA used for implementing DSP applications, you need knowledge of DSP algorithms. But the challenge is more towards designing the hardware than writing algorithms for filters which is not tough as there is a lot of references already available. Most of the engineering jobs related to DSP do not actually require that much mathematics which is generally taught in the curriculum. There is more expectation of writing C/MATLAB synthesized codes. A student who wants to jump from Science to computer field is really beneficial. One can find better job opportunities in this field in respect of B.Sc. But after doing B.Sc. Joining into computer field is not a good decision. As both B.Sc. And BCA are of 3-year so there is a loss of three year. So joining MCA after B.Sc. Is quite a better decision in respect of joining. MBA and MCA both are different master courses. In MCA you will learn core coding and other computer subjects as networks, operating system, data structure and mathematics as well.
