Sure, a candidate can get admission to IIM Ranchi without CAT as long as he or she doesn't want to pursue MBA. IIM Ranchi course admissions are entrance-based. For admission to the MBA course the college accepts only CAT score, but for other courses the institute accepts GMAT/ GRE/ IPMAT etc.
Only for admission to the Executive MBA course, the aspirants are required to appear just for the personal interview round.
The below table showcases the courses offered by IIM Ranchi and the entrance exam accepted:
| Course name | Entrance exam accepted |
|---|---|
| MBA | CAT |
| MBA-HR | CAT |
| IPM | IPMAT |
| E-MBA | No entrance exam accepted; only the PI round |
| PhD (Full-time) programme | CAT/GATE/GRE/GMAT/NET-JRF |
| PhD (Executive) programme | CAT/GATE/GRE/GMAT/NET-JRF |

TBS Jammu accepts the scores of CMAT and CAT for admission to its MBA program. However, the minimum cutoff for admission to TBS Jammu is not available publicly. With your CMAT percentile of 78.6 and CAT percentile of 39.10, it may be difficult to get admission to TBS Jammu. However, your B.Tech Biotech graduation percentage of 89.4% is quite impressive. I would suggest you directly contact TBS Jammu to get more information about the admission process and the minimum cutoff required for admission.
