Cracking CAT Quantitative Aptitude (QA) is all about having complete control on both theory and practice. The difficulty level of this section of the exam is always high. CAT Quantitative Aptitude questions are mixed bag of tough, time consuming and calculation heavy Math problems. It is not mandatory to solve all 22 questions in the exam, but it is mandatory to prepare all the topics as the questions can be asked from any of them.

The syllabus of CAT Quantitative Aptitude includes major topics of Mathematics studied in Class 9 and 10 but of advance level. If you prepare right, you can score 100 percentile in this section. Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, Mensuration and Modern Math form the basis of CAT questions for Quantitative Aptitude. During your CAT 2026 preparation, make sure to cover all the topics by practicing various types of questions.

Most of you may appear for CAT 2026 and a couple of other MBA entrance exams. If you prepare CAT’s quant, you will be ready other MBA entrance exams such as XAT, SNAP, CMAT, NMAT and MAT exams too. Preparation for CAT Quantitative Aptitude should be divided into two parts:

  1. Understanding Quantitative Aptitude topics and concepts
  2. Practicing CAT Quant questions and mock tests series

Quantitative Aptitude in CAT is calculation intensive. Thus, clarity of concepts and theorems is essential. So, start with studying every topic from scratch. Once there is complete conceptual clarity, start solving sample CAT aptitude questions to improve efficiency in application of formulae for 100 per cent accuracy.

CAT Algebra questions and CAT geometry questions, CAT percentage questions and CAT time and distance questions are usually of high difficulty level and require more practice than other CAT topics. Overall, mastering the CAT Maths questions require practice of a large number of questions of varied difficulty level. Aim to practive over 5000 CAT Quants question throughout your prep journey. 8. On a 120 kms racing track, if P and Q start driving in the same direction from the same point and at the same time, then P wins the race by 25 minutes. Empire College of Science MBA admissions are merit-based and generally do not require any entrance exams. Hence, having CAT score will not make much of a difference on admission chances. However, students may check with the college to know more.

Aspirants does accept CAT score for admission in MBA programme of United Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Candidates have to participate in UPTAC Counselling for admission based on CAT scores. Direct admission is also granted by the institute.

Dronacharya Group of Institutions considers CAT score for admission in MBA. However, CAT is not compulsory for taking admission in MBA. The college accepts entrance exam score of CAT/MAT/CMAT for admission in MBA at Dronacharya Group of Institutions.

No, CAT is not compulsory for Shri Ram Murti Smarak International Business School admissions. For its MBA programme, the institute also accepts other exams. These are CMAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ATMA. Direct admissions are also offered.

Yes, students can not get admission in NMIMS Navi Mumbai MBA without CAT. Students are selected through NMAT score. Hence, appearing for CAT is not required. Students can check the official site to know more about the programme.

Yes, you should prepare for SNAP separately, especially with regard to sample question and mock test practice. Even if you don't cover the syllabus separately, practice SNAP mock test specifically.

Candidates wishing to take admission in MBA at RGIPT should have passed graduation with a minimum of 60% aggregate and a valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT. CAT scores are taken into consideration, but it is not compulsory. Candidates can appear for other MBA entrance exams as well.
