You need graduation in any discipline to appear for Civil Services exam. It will be more wise to study humanities in higher secondary and graduation. If you plan it from 10th it will be more easy and assuring. I suggest you to take humanities stream in 11th standard with correct combination and plan from starting. And be clear with your subject for civil exam and work on your GS and GK part. Five year of preparation is enough to make you qualify IAS. Best wishes.
